It is with great pleasure that I serve as the newly appointed Instructional Leader of E. D. Houston Elementary School. It is truly an honor to become a part of the TIGER family and community, where it is evident that our distinctive population of student learners are provided with a world-class education.

I have 11 years of experience in the educational field, ranging from elementary to secondary education. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Miles College, and I have an Instructional Leadership Certification from Jacksonville State University.  Over the course of my teaching career, I served as an Elementary teacher, Curriculum Coach, and Assistant Principal.

As the new Instructional Leader of “THEE” Houston Elementary, I am committed to upholding and reinforcing Talladega City School’s mission and vision. Our shared goal is to guide all students to achieve excellence in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. I am dedicated to working alongside our teachers and staff to continue the legacy of success, building strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners. Together, we will focus on character education, creating and sustaining a positive climate and culture for all students, leading with innovative initiatives, and attracting and retaining high-performing students who exemplify a community of leaders on the road to success!
